Jericho Rosales Biography

JERICHO ROSALES was born on September 22, 1979 in Quezon City. Jericho took his secondary education in New Era University High School before he entered show business.

Jericho entered showbiz as a contestant in "Mr. Pogi" of Eat Bulaga in the late 90s. He won the said contest in the grand finals and that opened the door for him to enter showbiz. It is little known that Jericho is not only in showbiz. He formed a band named Jeans and released their first album "Loose Fit" in 2005 where he wrote all 14 songs contained in the album. The album however was launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through EMI Malaysia.

Jericho started in television through "Kaybol, Ang Bagong TV" in 1996. It was followed by his role as Buboy in "Esperanza" with Judy Ann Santos in the lead role. Then came "Pangako Sa 'Yo" with Kristine Hermosa which was a very big hit. The series topped the charts during its airtime. That was also the birth of Jericho-Kristine tandem which was really a hit to the viewing public.

It was followed by "Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas" as his second team-up with Kristine which was also a big hit in the small screen. Jericho is also joined the cast of "Bora: Sons of the Beach" which features him together with the other hearthrobs of ABS-CBN.

Jericho was then chosen by ABS-CBN bigwigs to portray the lead role in the TV adaptaion of a Fernando Poe Jr. movie "Ang Panday". His performance in "Panday" was applauded by movie critics and the series was a consistent top rater in the primetime.

This was followed by "Pangarap Na Bituin" with Sarah Geronimo and Rica Peralejo. Jericho's acting ability also reached offshore. He teamed-up with Carmen Soo, a Malaysian actress, in the TV series "Kahit Isang Saglit" which was also shown in Malaysia.

Jericho was also guested in another primetime series "I Love Betty La Fea" with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo in the lead role.

His upcoming primetime TV series is his comeback team up with Kristine Hermosa titled "Dahil May Isang Ikaw". They will be joined by Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, John Estrada, Karylle and Cristine Reyes. The series is scheduled to be aired in the second quarter of 2009.

Jericho Rosales debuted in movies with "Biyudo Si Daddy, Biyuda Si Mommy" in 1997. This was followed by "Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin?", "Magandang Hatinggabi", "Wansapanataym: The Movie", "Suspek", "Tanging Yaman", "Trip", "Bagong Buwan", "Forevermore", "Ngayong Nandito Ka", "Noon At Ngayon", "Santa Santita", "Nasaan Ka Man", "Pacquiao: The Movie", "Baler" and his upcoming movie for 2009 "Subject: I Love You".

It can be noted that Jericho received the Best Actor Award for his movies "Pacquiao: The Movie" (tied with Piolo Pascual) and "Baler". He also received awards for his performances in TV including Best Single Performance by a Lead Actor in his role in "Maalaala Mo Kaya: Pampang" episode.

Jericho was also romantically linked to his leading ladies. He was linked to Kristine Hermosa, Heart Evangelista and even Carmen Soo of Malaysia.
